Annual Advisory Meeting between UI Shared Governance and Recreational Services Leaders

Senior leaders from Recreational Services and one designee from each shared governance body will meet on an annual basis.

Purpose: to conduct an annual meeting where Recreational Services will provide updates and share information. Shared governance, in an advisory capacity, may bring issues, questions, and ideas from their constituents. Recommendations are not binding on the administration. Recreational Services remains responsible and accountable for final decisions.

Responsibilities:

• Recreational Services Leaders: Responsible for organizing the annual meeting and providing appropriate updates for meetings; draft meeting agenda.
• Each of the Shared Governance Bodies: designate a representative to attend the annual meeting; provide feedback from constituents during the annual meeting.
• A meeting agenda will be agreed upon by both entities in advance and may include:
  • updates on rules and operations related to university recreation facilities;
  • information on plans to modify or expand university recreation facilities;
  • program modifications
  • other relevant issues that may arise

Meeting Schedule: The annual meeting will be scheduled in the spring semester.

Duration and Termination: This agreement is valid for three years and can be renewed or terminated at that time.
